This was the painting that we were in the process of taking home when 3 police officers took it upon themselves to assault me: Antonio Milow, Glenn Martin and Thomas Johnston.
I had painted this for my sister during my undergraduate studies at Colorado State University where I received my BFA. It had been unsigned and I told my sister I would take it back to my studio to sign. It came out of the ordeal a lot better than me. You can see only a few scratches on the upper left. On the back side there is a boot imprint and a few more scratches.
My painting made it home that night, I made it to the hospital thanks to the Denver Police Department.

Then I challenge you to figure out why they withdrew blood, and did not follow my request to test the blood they withdrew for my blood alcohol content. I asked them over and over and over for a BAC test because I knew that this is how ignorant people would take this case. One drunk person verses 3 police officers.
I was charged for the blood withdraw and test. I asked for a BAC from at least 5 different people.
No results were recorded…..none.
I said nothing, provoked no one.
Drinking is not a crime, and 8 drinks in a total of 8+ hours is not excessive.
Have you ever had a drink? Then you must surely be guilty of assault and deserve to get beat. Not in my city that I pay taxes.
